Default Heater Core

Can anyone help me with advice about my heater core. It went out about 2 weeks ago and I bypassed it. Some people say you have to take the whole dash and everything out and it takes about 3 days to do it all. Others say that it can be done if you take the glove box out. I am going to buy a Haynes manual this weekend and try to do it myself. I like to do all the work on my car myself. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. THANKS...

HOLLY HELL BATMAN!. Thats all i can tell you... no j/k. I work at a FORD dealership. I almost died the first one i ever did. On a 97 convertable. You do have to remove the entire dash. If you had an ealier model you could remove it from the glove box. NOT youres. lol. But maybe if you a sloth you can do it in 3 days. I did it in 4 hours. So good luck and make sure you buy that manual.
