Default SCT RE-PROGRAM QUESTION?

i found this guy who is selling his SCT programmer but its for a 99-04+ V6. i've got a 96 GT. He says it will work with my car, it'll just need to be re-tunned for my car. Is this true? how much could i expect to have it re-tunned for my car?

You have to make sure his car has been returned to stock. There is also (depending on the model) a certain number of times you can program and reprogram the car... 6 times is the magic number.

Most tuners will charge anywhere from 100-250 a hour. My first tune was 250 for the first hour, then 50 per add'l hour. Another tuner here charges 100 a hour period, and the tuner im taking my car to next (horsepower by hermann) charges 200 for a datalog and 125 for 1 tune or 200 for 3. He actually doesn't dyno tune it. He tunes it on the road in real conditions, and has had some awesome results.

What exactly counts as "reprogramming"? Like, say you have your tuner setup and you change your axel ratio selection because you got gears. Does just making that change and applying it to the computer use up one of your alotted programs of the computer? What happens if you use all of them? You need a new computer?
