the cobra has a 4.6L 32v DOHC V8, where as the GT has a 4.6L 16v SOHC V8. From 03 on the cobra had a eaton supercharger and forged internals, and a 6-speed transmission. The cobra had 390 from 03 on and the GT has had 260 from 99 on. The pre 03 cobras had 320 horsepower. yeah you shoulda went for the cobra, much more potential, and bang for the buck.

More potential but $4500 will get you right there along side one. Good blower, good tune and a set of tires.

pretty much.

Except I haven't seen an 03+ cobra dyno anything less than 380 rwhp, so that means it's about 410-420ish at the flywheel.

The first thing MM&FF did was mess with the stock airbox and they saw 17 rwhp on the butt dyno. Pretty impressive.

I'd settle for any cobra thats a 99+, just for the dohc 32v heads.

But spend that same $4,500 on a cobra and kiss everything on the road goodbye!

Along with all the cash in your wallet. LOL $36000 - 4500 (down payment) X .10(% rate) +TTT / 60(# of years financed) = $585 per month roughly. Too much! lol
