Default How to remove surface rust from exhaust ??

Hi, my 2004 GT has what appears to be surface rust on the stock tail pipes. I thought these were stainless. Anyway, what is a good method for removing the rust? Steel wool? I've also seen crumpled aluminum foil remove rust. Ideas?

are you trying to get it off the tips or the exhaust pipe itself?

Thanks for the replies. I just got home fomwork and checked the thread. FYI, the rust is on the exhaust pipes, not the tips. I will try some of the Eagle One. I love this place and I love my Stanger!

steel wool will work too, or if you have finishing pads and air tools, that will save a lot of time.
