possibly.. what kind of tires are they? Did you go around the water? Did you spin them? How much did you spin them?
if you don't have d/r then you should go around the water box, and spin the tires a couple of times to clean them off... and dont just slam the gas if they're street tires - if you do that you'll spin like crazy...

I was going around the water box and i wasnt spining them to clean them at all... How much would spinning them and possibly letting some pressure our really help me? They were at 40 psi

You're 60 foot times isn't all that bad really for street tires.. I just seen a stock automatic car run this evening at an 1/8th mile track.. he went a 9.4. My best time with 3.27s was a 13.7/ 8.8..

I would get some 4.10 gears, tuner, and just practice launching. Full exhaust, intake, gears, and decent driver mod should net high 13s.
