Default question for you guys with mgw short shifter?

hey guys i just installed the mgw in my 03 gt. i love the shifter and everything is perfect except for second gear.my1st to 2nd shift seems to be notchy, almost like i have to slightly force it intosecond. if i am parked, it will go through all the gears perfectly. its only wheni am driving and only going into second. also i can downshift to 2nd with no issues. im very new to the mustang family and i could beexpieriencing something completely normal.its not bad at all, but it just seems it could be abit smoother. anybody else feel they have an issue or know if this is normal please let me know. thanks ---jake

The MGW shifters take a little while to break in. They are real tight to shift at first and once they break in it feels a lot better.

Your clutch may be acting up also..... Try adjusting your clutch cable.

is it pretty easy to adjust the clutsh cable? also i still have the stop bolts in and it is the 3650 tranny. could this be the problem. i backed the stopbolts off as directed. this second gear is starting to bug me.

2nd gear is a little bit tough and when I first got this shifter I would occassionally go from 1st to 4th. After the shifter loosens up a bit it is hundreds times better.
