Default Autometer shift light wires?????

Im about to install my autometer digital shift light andI need to know were to run the wires. There isa green wire that should go to the negitive side of the coil but I'm not sure where that is. Also the red wire needs to run to a postive line that is hot when the key is on. What wire is that or could I just connect it up to the battery. The black is ground that is easy. And finally the blue is listed as "optional". Do I really need to run that if so where? Thanks a lot for your help.

you will need an adapter. I dont know if you have a 99-04 but they dont have coils which means we need that queer adapter. call autometer and ask them for specific details. tell them your situation and they will help.

You need a tach adaptor. MSD makes one.

You could run the wire to the fuse pannel and put the wire into the socket of the specific fuse you want it to run to... it is kind of an easy way to do it.... without cutting and splicing into wires! Not sure which fuse to put it into... there might be one under the dash for the ignition... that would be a good one!
