Default PI swap is only half done...

Doing the swap isn't a whole lot of work, it just takes time and things always go wrong. After I pulled the heads off, I decided to yank the shortblock as well. My oil pan had a leak so I figured now would be the time. Pulling the engine was very, very easy. It took me an hour to get it all of the way out. All it was was 6 motor mount bolts, remove some wiring harness loops, and remove the A/C compressor clutch and pulley so I can take the compressor off of the shortblock. I've been kind of rushing taking everything apart and I haven't been using labels or anything like that. I hope I can get it all back together.[&:]... Here are some pics from the swap so far...

*Here's the NPI Intake and the PI Intake: http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r...10/PISwap5.jpg

*Here's the engine minus the intake:

*** I have a few more pics I'll post up soon with the engine out of the car...

I'll do a step by step write up when I get done. I had some trouble finding a good one, so I figured that someone had to do it. ...

Yeah, you should do that because I'm itching to dig into my engine soon and while I've done this kind of work before, it's nice to see a write up on my specific engine becuase every engine is different and has different catches.

It's pretty straight foward, Andrew. There are a couple tricks I'll put in the write up that should help. If you want to do the PI swap, let me know. I can always come on down and help out. **Are you still down for the cruise on the 22nd? We may meet up with another group at the Durham Mall.

Yeah. I really wanted to find some stage 1 cams, but I'm broke now. ... I'm still looking for a good deal, though.

That's why I'm saving haha. I figure the PI intake is plenty, then I'll probably P&P some PI heads and get some VT Stage 1 cams. It's gonna be a while because I just have a Mustang savings account that I put a little in whenever I can so I can save up for stuff like that. I figure I'm looking at the whole job costing a good $2500 or so, but it'll be a brand new car after that. Then I get to start saving for the bottom end replacement and almost literally have a brand new car haha.

I'll have to think about the Durham thing, I'm already doing a Mustang get together the weekend before and a cruise at the beach the next weekend.

I'm looking at the whole job costing a good $2500
Cams: $500
Heads: $300
P&P: $500
Intake: $250

You're going to need new valve covers depending on the type of PI heads you get, fluids, timing chain, sprockets, etc.
