Why do you even have to tach it out? Why not stomping on it when the flag goes down?
Are we talking about Nascar or drag racing?

"the flag" doesn't go down. The christmas tree does.

i wouldnt do that cuz if you're lucky enough to get 2 launches in w/o breaking something the 3rd launch def. will...imagine if you snapped your axle or broke a spider gear...locked it up..and broke your drive shaft or even transmission...not worth it to even try untill you get a built rear and drive line...IMO....the track is much stickier than the street anyhow

I broke my spider gears powershifting from 2nd to 3rd on a freeway onramp....im bsaically stock too

moral of the story...you can break anything even if your not pushing 400rwhp

I'd just get a new rear if you're gonna do slicks.

Look into some MT ET streets (drag radials). They are more than sticky enough for a stock rearend car.

I am gonna get a set and keep the launches under about 3000 RPM and see if I can make some 1.8 or so 60's.
