anyone know if they use a retunless fuel supply?
will regular mustang mounts bolt to it?
i know its basically a cobra motor with different cams and a crank etc and thats its 280hp
im thinking about picking up a mark 8 from the junkyard (they have about 4 of them) and using the drivetrain in a fox

they look pretty much the same motor with a few internal tweaks, I've heard of some guys swapping in a 03 cobra motor markVIII auto tranny and the markVIII's harness into a new edge, dont know how much work it'd be for the markVIII swap

Honestly it all should work fine if you replace the harness with the newedge.
The block is the same cast code as the 96-98 Cobra block which can handle 1200hp when prepped correctly.
They are a good block and worth buying, you can get a complete engine for far less than a Cobra engine. The heads are B-Series heads (96-98) cobra and are good heads when the correct cams are added. These heads can see good power gains with a simple p&p and valve oversize.
The rest of the internals are cast and the crank is a 6blt design, the rotating assembly is good for about 475-550hp when propperly tuned before the rotating assembly begins to fail.
Replacing the stock manifold with a Cobra would be a good idea as the stock is ugly Mainly because of the ease of wiring harness swap and CAI possition. I have not seen any flow numbers to know which flows better.
Grabbing a set of plastic 1998 Cobra IMRC butterflies will pick up the power a little for you too.
Lots of good stuff to have with this engine, personally I just care about the bare block and bare heads
