2000 GT = Windsor right?
Hey guys i'm out of state but am trying to order a few things and wanted to confirm that my 2000 GT has the 13 bolt valve cover pattern (Windsor) correct? I would just go out and count them...but my car is 900 miles away

yes, 99 and 2000's had windsors.

Either way if you can find an insurance tag or get your title look at the 8th digit of the vin and if it's a W then you got yourself a windsor

Are you sure??? I thought Ford ran into production issues for supply and demand and made extra motors for the F-150's and they got put into the popular demand for the mustangs?? Mustangs were all suppose to have Romeo 11 bolt stuff!

Until 1999, all car engines were produced at the Romeo plant. In 1999 and 2000, Mustang's engines were produced in Windsor. Production was moved back to Romeo in 2001. Most truck engines are from the Windsor plant, however there are many later model trucks with Romeo engines. All aluminum-blocked engines were produced at Romeo. While the basic design remains the same the two plants had different designs for main bearings, heads (cam caps), camshaft gears (press-on vs. bolt on), valve covers (number of bolts), crankshaft (number of flywheel bolts), and cross bolt fasteners for main bearing caps.

Well I did some looking up on the VINs and turns out that a W actually is Romeo, while a X is Windsor.

The 8th digit does not tell you where the engine is made, it tells you wether or not you have a V6 or a V8, The DOHC I believe is a K
