3 grand is cheap for a short block. You won't see 600+ on that block.

put a blower on it and be done.

I'm not sure if you're going to do the work yourself, but if not factor in a **** ton of labor charges into that. Plus you have to add about another $500 for misc stuff youll have to buy for a new shortblock, headgaskets bolts etc.

Forge the engine, make it run, buy a set of drag radials and save the rest.

CHP's short block { the one I ordered} is rated 900 HP.
Cost 2800 dollars plus shipping
http://www.coasthigh.com/Assemblies/assembly_index.htm
I am not doing any of the work.
I am not counting the shop charges in the budgit I listed.
They knocked there labor rate down to 60 dollars. they quoted me 3000 labor to pull the old block install the new on and all the tubro stuff.
I think I will ship my heads to CHP. for 400 dollars more the will make a long block useing my heads.
My point which is hard for me to make with a type writer is how would you all spend more money if u were me
Thanks

+1.

I'd sell the nittos and buy some Mickey thompsons though, you dont get many miles out of them, but the nittos arent that great unless you warm them up.
