I am sure I can come up with another video showing a "bone stock" mach 1 running door to door with a 03/04 cobra as well... but its the internet, and its full of BS.
Check out this video. The first part is me vs a LX notch, but the 2nd is my buddys virtually (weld in muffs and K&N) bone stock LS1 car vs a dammed near full boltons cobra.

Look how the cobra jumps out on him, and then just hangs there (2nd race from a stop anyway, first one he spun BAD). His car is the SLOWEST Ls1 car made that year other than the convertable. Its a T top equipped auto car with a 2.73 rear gear.
The dammed cobra is running a 4.30 rear gear for petes sake! If this was a stock vs stock race the cobra would have simply no chance.
We just put a set of LTs and a Y pipe on the car... and let me tell you the cobra would have ZERO chance of winning now.
Like I said, if all you want to do is go fast in a straight line and look ugly doing it, get a LS1 fbody and spend about 4K in parts.

I bought the Super Speeders series DVD's (compliments of a video someone posted on here...thanks) In the video a 2003 Termanator (with obvious upgrades) walked a Lambo Gallardo. Not one Camaro in the series, a couple of Vettes and just as many Mustangs, but no Camaros....hmmm I wonder why, Oh I got it they are UGLY.
Besides the original poster says he is going German so this thread (under the pretense of the original poster) is done. Audi TT's are ok, millions of them over here in Germany, never been beat by one yet.I emphasize YET!!!

Ok Camaros are fast no dought but when i was in my buddies i hated being so low to the ground, hearing every stupid crack and noise in the car, the windsheilds suck way to sloped, and GM's interior is way to tacky lookin. The body was used for way to many years (probably cus gm ran out of ideas) The cobras better lookin for a fact u might sacrifice a little power if any at all for the cobra but looks are far more superior. One way or the other there still both good strong motors obviously with the ls1 having more upside but the forum is not asking which motors better but what car is and the Cobra is a more complete car.
