Default shaking wheel

I got new wheels and tires and an alignment all at once. But now after the alignment my steering wheel shakes pretty bad. I can feel the woble up front. I went back to the place that did it... Its called competition auto. They do alot of mustangs, there a performance shop. But I went and told him about it and he said. "Well when you get a correct alignment of the toe your going to get the shacking of the steering wheel, I can set the toe out and bit and get rid of it but your tires will wear unevenly. Also your tires are stiff let them break in and it should go away" Thats what he told me... is he full of sh*t? I have put about 300miles on my new tires and it hassent gotten any better. its warrentied for 6 months.

I can't definitively say he is full of **** but to suggest that when your car is in perfect alignment that steering wheel shake/vibration is normal is not correct.

I bought 4 brand new tires for my Jeep a few months ago at Costco. I take the highway home after the install and the wheel is shaking bad.

I brought it back and they popped off one tire and put it back on the balancer and guess what? It was off by a mile!
They rebalanced all 4 again and no problems.

Obviously they did not do something right on your car.

The only other possibility is that one on the wheels is bent, but that shoulda shown up and is usually pretty obvious on a wheel balancer (happened to me). Go park your car in that dude's *** until he does it the right way.

Could be warped rotors from overtorqueing the wheels. I have warped rotors and it shows up as a shake between 53-58 mph. Have the rotors turnes at your local auto parts tore and make sure the wheels are installed to the proper torque.
