You really just throw the cams in? I always thought they had to be a certain way, or........well more involved then that haha. I know they have to be timed when you get it running.

The reason you put the crank key at 12 oclock is that is the safe mode for the engine (all pistons below deck) so you can spin the cams and the valves will never touch the pistons. This allows you to spin the cam to line up the timing marks. Way easier the puting the engine at TDC and installing the cams at 12 and 11 oclock then having to compress the valve springs to ger the cam followers in.

Awesome! That's a really good write up. Nice job layin down silicone too, mine never look that neat or strait[&:]. Oh what A/C delete are you using? I have the ford racing one and it has a plastic pulley[:'(]...thought that seemed a little weird...
