You'll just have to start over. Make sure all the guides and tentoniers are on before you turn the crank. and turn it slowly.

Very nice write up. I am just waiting on funds to get forged but I am still not sure if I want to buy an already built short block, long block or rebuild my own with forged internals. Doing it myself would be a lot cheaper of course. One question though...how much Horsepower can a stock short block hold? With forged internals of course.
It can handle whatever you throw at it.

Rods and pistons are rated for certain amounts of horesepower. The manufacturer has these specs listed.

How bad is it to install new cams with the engine in the car? Isn't there a tool to hold the camgear in place so you dont move the chain off the crank. And how do you degree cams?

Hey oxfordgt, nice picture outline of how to install the Motor, Trans, etc. I happen to live 1 1/2 hours from Clarksville. Ever do work for fellow stangers for a price?
