right now I have a 98 GT...no real mods yet except mac exhaust...im thinkin what should I do...try to reach the 300 mark witht he 98...or buy a 99 cobra...</P>

If i were in your situation, the would be neither. I would definitely have to say buy the '99 Cobra, and then hook it up.

a 03 intake wont fit on a 98 will it?,...unless i have the heads?</P>

Get '99 Cobra. With the money you'll invest in your car to hit the 300hp mark, you will also have to spend money upgrading your chassis, and brakes to improve your handling so you can have better access/control of your newfound hp. Buy a new Cobra, &amp; hook it up, or just leave your car alone for a while yet, and get something new next year. Just my $.02

i'm in the same dilema. my 98 GT has some money it, full exhaust sounds killer and is pretty much done in the looks department. but damn a cobra is just so temtping....so easy to s/c.....
