Alright, now it's time for me to say something else lol. I have to agree that if someone saves their own money for something he/she really wants, it is obvious that person will cherish their possession whatever it is, or however much it costs.</P>
What I have to disagree with here I expect to get good responses to. I believea person can have just as much respect if not MORErespect for something that was bought for him/her in some situations.I am a little reluctant to use myself as an example, butwhat the @#$!. My 2002 satin silver, premium package, 5spd, w/the Mach 1000 system Mustang GT was a gift to me from my father. I had it special ordered last May 17th, and picked it up August 7th. The car currently has only 4,574.1 miles on it, and has only been caught in the rain 3 times since I've owned it. My point here is that even though, I did not pay for this car myself, I know what time/effort, and love was put into getting it. He did not just buy the car, because I wanted it. Technically it was an early graduation gift. I just finished up @ Indiana University Bloomington. Now before you all dismiss me as a spoiled rich kid...keep in mind the level of appreciation I have for what what I what I own. Nothing I own, from my truck to the GSX-R1000, to myGT aretaken for granted. Ihonestly take better care of my rides than probably some of you (not pointnig fingers). I detail my carafter EVERY timeI come home from driving it. The same goes for the bike. I don't worry so much about my truck, cuz itstays outside.Around here, everybody knows me for having a clean ride<IMG src=smileys/smiley16.gif border="0">. BTW...all of the mods I've been purchasing have been w/my own cash though, so not everything is handed down<IMG src=smileys/smiley14.gif border="0">. ON YOUR MARK...GET SET...ON W/THE RESPONSES! </P>
1 more thing...if you want a Stang as your first car...good luck w/your choice, just be careful out there. I'd wait and get some experience behind a wheel first though.</P><edited><editID>GSXRIntensity</editID><editDate>37855.0139467593</editDate></edited>

BTW...regarding $30k for college...That'll cover approximately 2.5 semesters of school if you are not going to a community college, and are attending an in state university. Semester expenses are about $12k (including tuition, books, room/board on, or off campus, food, etc) If you are out of state expect to pay about $25k per semester. That's how much my g/f parents dished out til she graduated. As it turned out I was able to get a lot of grants & scholarships, because someone mistook me for being smart<IMG src=smileys/smiley5.gif border="0">, and came out only owing $12k after 4 1/2yrs of school. Get this...since my new job is going to be w/the government, I am getting $4700 waived from my loan<IMG src=smileys/smiley4.gif border="0">. I only owe $8,000 for a $100,000+ education. Neither of my parents graduated from college, & I am their first to do that. That is why I appreciate what I own.
