I paint cars for a living and painted the body kit flat black to go along with the black on the car. There is no sense on spending money on paint when im going to mess it up from working on the engine. Im going to paint it last. Thanks for the info everyone. So pretty much VT has the best rep on the market so far?

i guess i got lucky with mine heads and camsbecause i got around 20,000 miles on mine and no problems and they are patriots. They put good springs in themnow because my cam is .550 lift and i take mine to 6500 all the time. When im on the bottle i still take mine to 6500 sometimes with well over 450hp to the wheels.

Ok so I got a response from www.cncport.com

They said for a good stage3 port and polish it would be 1100 and I send them my heads to cnc them.

I'm sure the stage 2 would be cheaper.

I'm just following up on my thread. So it seems it would be a little cheaper just to send them in to get ported and polished but not by much if you consider the 2 week turn around time they said it would take. I think I'm going to flip the coin on this one.

He must have deep enough pockets if he is gonna do headwork.

IMO there is alot more you could do to the car atm before heads to pickup gains though. LTs, midpipe, gears, cams, etc etc etc.
Heads are probably the last mod one should do for a $ vs. horsepower gain .
