i have a x pipe, just because i heard that it gives you like 3 more hp, but i personally love the sound of the H pipe. The X pipe is just too raspy with me. I would say a good h pipe with full mac catback sounds **** on mustangs

H is definitely a bit more throatier... X is a bit higher pitched. Either will sound really good depending on the catback chosen. Also all depends on the sound YOU want.

Oh yea and for the record I have an o/r X.

H has a deeper sound while X wont give you enough of a power gain to make a noticable difference; they arent as deep as the H. Unless you're going to have your rpm's above 5500 all the time, dont waste your time with it; go true dual!
