Side vents?

Side vents?
anybody have a link to a write up on how to replace your side vents? I was just informed that somehow i have the v6 style side vents, and i want the GT style ones (they look better). Its a 1999 GT btw. I also checked on ebay to see if someone sold the vents to replace em, no go.

it's held on by 3 clips, slide a flat head between the top middle and bottom of the scoop and you should hear the clip pop off. it's hard to describe it without showing you where to slide the flat head in

you don't have the V6 side vents for your year model. The larger vents and the hood scoop were all added in '01 to the GTs. if it's a 99 that is factory.
that's just FYI though.
I personally prefer the Bullitt ones over both

Ah, ok. Cause one of my friends has an 02 gt, and the other a 99gt 35th anniversary special edition. They have the same style vents. K, i know how to take em off now, if only i could find a pair in red... [&:]

Let me know how it all goes because I am replacing mine as well and getting an 01-04 hood scoop soon.

Yea... I had the larger ones... for some reason I liked the other ones better... the ones you got... so I got some, at first I was gonna try em' out for awile... untill i got sideswiped... I ****ched em out and sold the one good scoop I had, now I like the larger ones better! [:@]i didnt pay much for the smaller/slanted ones, I bought them on eBay, I actually sold the one scoop for more than I paid for the 2 slanted ones... 
But I wish I still just had the OG's... which were not OG on my car... but were on there when I bought it. I think eventually when I get to getting my car finished I will get Bullitts!

George....seriously.....you dont need side vents....i wish i would have kept my damn mouth shut about the side vents...get some mods so your not getting beat by sn95's and 1980's monte carlosat the track
