stock exhaust??welding???
i wanted to kno what the stock gt exhaust is made of reg steel or ss and if its is a good idea to shop out the mufflers and jsut weld in in straight piping??
any ideas?

If you have any plans driving the car on the streets I would not even consider removing the mufflers.
It not only sounds extremely loud, but it's a horrible sound as well.
As far as welding to SS, a GOOD SHOP can do it properly.
The problem is finding a good shop.
Chances are that the welds will not be done correctly and will rust out over time.

Damn, a guy driving an SN-95 was giving me **** for my exhaust saying it sounded like a V6 so he started it up and he had straightpipes....even my girlfriend knew how HORRIBLE it sounded, it was awful
