Will 315 tires wear out my clutch faster?
hey i heard someone saying that the wider tire you run in the back will cause the clutch to wear faster. I wanna do 315's in the back buit will i be getting "to much" traction" and wear out my clutch faster if i run em? also are 245's for 17X8 or 17X9, cuz i think the stock GT wheels on a 2000 are 17X9 with 245's right? Thanks for any help, its much appreciated!!!

Any increase in traction is going to wear your drivetrain as opposed to spinning.
But if you are dead hooking, and not able to spin a 315 street tire, you dont have enough power to worry about hurting anything.

Wouldn't there be less stress on the drivetrain if you're spinning? If you hook then there's more force being put on your drivetrain because there is no where for the energy to escape.
