im proud of my pile of sh|t
today i raced a ls1 camaro with exhaust and unknown other mods from like a 25 to about 70
he was a d|ck and didnt let me get even with him before he started the race, also he just took off...no beeping..WTH? anyhow he started half a car in front of me and it ended with him about 3/4 car in front of me
how come i "hung with him" i know he should have destroyed me...and yes, it was a race, yes he was racing for all of you that will ask that question...he opened the car up like a mo fo
also when i first got my car i raced another ls1 and it was pretty much the same scenario cept till 90..at the end it was him about 1 1/2 cars in front of me, with me catching up and him pulling away throughout the race
i know these cars should hand my *** to me every time, why aren't they?
btw both were 6 speed
and i have been killed by ls1s at the track
the reason i posted here and not S/S is because mostly im asking the question of WHY?

Every LS1 i have raced that was stock I would be down by about a car at around 55, then above that they just walk away. Dunno why you have faired so well, unless you cant judge distance![8D]

he was in 2nd for sure which gave you a little edge on him for the first 20 mph, i bet once you hit 2nd he regained or started to regain his ground. Thats my guess as to why you hung around with him.
Your first gear at 20mph is a lot steeper than a 6spds 2nd gear at 20mph.
