King Cobra Install
Well, I couldn't stand the squealing of my throw out bearing anymore, so I decided to replace the whole deal. I ordered the King Cobra kit, and got a pilot bearing from Napa. I need to pick up some tranny fluid, and have the flywheel resurfaced. Am I missing anything? Does a clutch alignment tool come with the King Cobra kit? If not, where could I get one? Any other tips?

Most clutch sets come with the tool. Sometimes they even include the pilot and throwout bearing. But it sounds like you have everything. Wait, you forgot the 6 pack because thats going be a long, fun job.

When I bought my King Cobra it came with the alignment tool and throwout bearing, but no pilot bearing. Getting the flywheel surfaced will usually cost about $40. Take it to a trans shop and have them do it. Other than that, it's pretty straight foward. You may wanna replace your rear main while you're there. It's a $25 seal that's just a piece of mind. If it leaks, you'll have to drop your trans again. And if left leaking, it could ruin your clutch.

A true FRPP KC kit comes with the TOB and alignment tool. There are lots of fakes out there[8D]
