Default Throw out bearing???

I installed my K/C clutch last summer (5K miles ago) and damned if the TOB is starting to make make noise. I'm pulling the motor in a few weeks to install shortblock so I can replace the TOB. Any decent aftermarket TOB that'll last?????

Is the cable properly adjusted?A ToB should last 120k or better as long as it's not loaded all the time...PartsAmerica/AdvanceAutohas BCA, SKF, and Centerforce bearings available; any of those should be as good as the others--I stay away from the lesser known brands though...

not in a mustang. mine started making noise at 10k. its either hit or miss with the TO bearing. some never make a noise, and some start going quick. most people ive talked to, have a TO problem.

I've got 44k on my '03 with no problems--why would Mustangs be harder on throwout bearings than any other car or truck? I had an F-150 that went 185k on the original clutch, and then I just changed it 'cause the rear main was leaking and it seemed like I ought to while it was apart... It just occurred to me that maybe that stupid auto-adjustquadrant is keeping the ToB loaded slightly--think I'll order a Steeda quadrant and f/w adjuster...
