i'm not too sure about any links but me and my dad are building a racecar and I said we need the TKO cause I heard the were undistructable. He did a lot of research on it today at work and came home with an article that said it is the stongest and best performing transmission out there. It even specifically mentions the TKO and says the C6 is better. The stage 2 is good for 500-1000 hp and the stage 1 is just good to 500hp.

Building a race car? Drag car? Auto for sure, or a proshifted TKO. I"ve heard people having trouble with the TKO's from shifting way up high. like 7k.

My wife has a stock C6 behind her 71' Mach1's 351C 4V. That transmission can handle 500hp stock without any problems as long as you keep up on the front and real seals
The C6 is one of the most reliable transmission out there and consistant. The biggest problem they have is their weight VS a C4 and of course a manual such as the TKO600.
The TKO is an awesome brute of a transmission and will handle the power you can throw at it for a cheaper price than a new T56. You have a couple different options for gears and bell housings. I think if you must go manual that the TKO600 does it for cost effectivness and sheer brute strength.
Course if your really getting into some serious road coarse racing Ford now offers a 100% sequential 6spd gearbox that you can either use paddle shifts or a stick, whichever you prefer and I think it comes with warenties on its gears. Be prepaired to spend a heafty $13,000 on this puppy.
