A few years ago my wife came back from the store and claimed the car (a Volvo 740) seemed slower than usual.
I didn't pay much attention to her because she's nuts.
So anyway, I head out on a beer run and discover that the car never gets out of 1st gear (automatic tranny).
Well, I guess she was right in her own nutty way......the car did seem a lot slower than usual.
Thank goodness she didn't drive it on the highway.
It was at that point that I explained what the "Tach" was used for.........
BTW she is still nuts, but now I listen to her when she says "the car is acting funny".......
