RE: upgrades to kill ls1
Chances are, If you find an LS1 who actually wants to run, It won't be stock. ... So just get a blower with a few more bolt ons, a good tune, and not worry about it LS1's [sm=lol.gif]

spend 400 bucks and send yoour heads to louthan competition. They guarentee 40 hp then toss some 4.10s in the rear. And to top it off, an o/r x pipe.
Right now I can stomp a ls1 gto with just exhaust and a shifter but that tells you something about the drivers.
If you cant drive or you are not willing to drive hard, then you will need spray or some power adder.

RE: upgrades to kill ls1
I have yet to see an n/a LS1 break 8.8x's in the 1/8th at my hometown track. The only exception I have seen is a T/A that one of my fellow racing club members has. Huge cam, high stall (not sure what rpm) converter, true dual 3" exhaust with LT's, and MT d/r's. He's running 7.90's- 8.0's. Any other LS1 car I have seen at my local track hasn't been that impressive. There is a turbo T/A here that runs 8.50's in the 1/8th on 5 psi. His 1/4 mile time is crazy tho.
