Default High School Drags *RESULTS* *UPDATED & FINISHED*

Not sure if you can see these but oh well. My computer has something wrong with it so all the pics are always blurry so I'm not too sure how the pics came out.

So don't make fun of me cause this is my very first time at the track and I know my car has much more in it. my very first run inthe car was the 15.2 at 92 mph. then I ran the 15 flat at 92.96 mph. Then came the 16.1 where I had no traction in first and second and that was an elimination round and I still won because the other guy broke out of his dial in time. My best run was my last run because they had to cancel it due to rain. I ran a 15.017 at 93 mph.

I need some advice on how to launch a little better and how to get my 60 ft. times down. If you guys can't see the pic good then my best 60 was a 2.4. I should be around 2 or 2.1 right? Should I drop tire pressure? I was at 40 psi[&:]. I heard you are not supposed to drop pressure on street tires. My car can run so much faster with my reaction time lowering cause right now I am at 3 tenths, still getting used to the tree. then if I get my 60 down I should be around 14.5's right?

I had soo much fun my first day at the track and as for the cancellation it will be finished up on wednesday so I will update. I am the only one still reppin' my school. Round three eliminations coming up.

You're right about not dropping the tire pressure on street tires but IMO 40psi is a little much. Some drag radials should do the trick for you. But remember drag racing is all about practice

i would drop the streets to at least 35. if not maybe a little lower. 40psi for a DD is kinda high. ever look into a PI swap? that will cut your times down. alot.

I dropped my tires to 28psi at the track and it helped a little. What are you launching at?

Just 1500 RPM's is what I am launching at. I think I might be spinning but not realizing it and that is why my 60 is so high. You think 40 is too high for a DD? my tires recommend 45 psi.

How'd the pic come out guys? since I can't tell on my computer.

No more mods until the end of this summer and even then I will be doing suspension and wheels and tires. It will be awhile until I dip into major engine work.

Reaction time shouldnt effect for ET at all. And yes your 60 ft should be a around 2.1. Do you think it was bogging in 1st or spinning?? And just because I'm surious, what was your best 1/8th mile time?

If you get to low on a street tire it will bow up in the middle and cause problems. I dropped my buds LS1 tires down to around 25 PSI and it worked ALOT better than his stock 32 ish.

BTW, just because the tires say xxx max you don't want to put the max in, go with what it says in the manual/door sill.
