Default Trouble getting over 90 mph

Hey guys,

Ican't seam to get over 90 easilly. To getto there it's fine, but at that speed, when I shift it into 5th gear, it does not seam to go faster.

Bigger Problem: IfI change gears, thenI will probably have trouble getting over 80 or less.I mean, WTF!!!

Why are you shifting into 5th gear at 90? stock gears, 4th doesnt run out till 140ish...

If you cant get over 90, then somethings definately not right. With stock gears you should be able to get at least 130 out of 4th gear.

Give a little more explination as to what the cars doing at that speed, running rough, missing, etc. What gears are you running andwhat are your RPM's in 4th at 90?

oh really. the reason that i shift into 5 is because it does go faster, and in 5 too it does go faster. Well it does a little, but it would take a while to get it over 100.

yeah, maybe something IS wrong.

You shouldnt be using your OD gear to get you to 100. Does the car start to run rough at 90, or just seem to lose all its power?

You could be having a spark issue at high rpm's thats keeping it from pulling in 4th.

My 4th gear redlines at like 115-120ish. Maybe I have gears and I don't know about it except my good friend with 3.73's and a 100 shot runs out of gear on the highway well before I do??????

I'm confused

Uhh you should never ever be in 5th gear if you're trying to go fast.

1st ~ 30mph
2nd ~ 60mph
3rd ~ 95mph
4th ~ till you run out of steam. 14Xmph

I pulled 4th gear to 130 with 3.27s. This is a case of the problem lying with the Indian, not the arrow.

Dude, use your RPMs to give you power, just because you CAN shift into another gear doesnt mean your going to move any faster if your lugging around 5th gear at 2600 RPMs........... Try shifting each gear out at 5200 RPM just once and you'll see the difference.
