I actually have the same question, I've heard the check engine light will come on so you don't really just want to mess with the light or whatever... I'm pretty sure we need them though, someone said buying them is $60-80 but making them yourself is $6-8 but I have no idea how to do that.

You need the mils on the rear o2 sensors. the front(on the headers)stay in. You will need extensions for the front o2's, it's a pain in the ***. If you have a tuner, you can shut the rears down and avoid the mils.

Alright well maybe I can get some help here cause no one answered my post haha...

All I ended up getting was the BBK X-pipe, no extensions, mils, or anything...

What exactly do I need besides the pipe before I lift my car and try yet AGAIN to put this beezy in...?

so their is no way to go to an auto zone or advanced or anywhere, and clear out the code for the engine light that will come up. another question, if one of my buddies has a tuner, can i use it as well or no

Is it catted or off road. If catted , just plug your o2 in. If it's still giving you a light, you o2 probabley need to be replaced. I suggest going to auto zone to read the code. If you have off road, you will need the mils, rpmoutlet or steeda make them. Just plug them inbetween you o2 and the wire that hooks up to them and it should work(prevent engine light fr coming on). Pretty easy.

yah i bought headers and an off road x, i know the light is going to come on if i install the o/r x, my initial question was can i just clear out the engine light when it comes on to keep it from staying on. if i do need mils do i just need the one pair or the pair and the extensions. thanks for the help

As far as extentions go I have no idea, but yes we do need the MIL Eliminators bro, if I understand correctly, the front o2 sensors will be okay and we only need a pair for the back 2 sensors by where you bolt the mid-pipe and the exhaust pipes together.
