Default tires : General UHP vs. BFG LDW II's

Going to go 255/40 17" all around. My Goodyear Gatorbacks are almost bald and I want a tire that has better bite. I don't care as much as cornering as much as I want something that will grip better when lanching. I thought about getting drag radials, but my car is basically stock. Anyways I've narrowed it down to General Tire Exclaim UHP or BFG KDW IIs. Looking for a good quality tire at a good price that will grip well when launching. Cornering is a secondary priority. Tire rack rates these tires both, very high.

General Exclaim UHP: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....el=Exclaim+UHP

BFG KDW II's : http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....ce+T%2FA+KDW+2

General tire is ALOT cheaper by the way, and doesn't have 255s, so I've have to go 245. Whereas the BFG is alot more expensive, but has the size I want, and maybe better quality?

My UHPs are awesome. Got about 3k miles on em, they grip HARD in the turns, and dig good on the launch. Spending money on BFGs would be a waste. Don't let the price fool you, UHPs are rated #1 out of 40+ tires for a reason.

Thank you very much guys! UHP it is, and you just can't beat that price. Yeah man I thought about 275 for the rear, but I'd rather them be the same size all around. 275 all around may look weird without spacers in the rear.

Are you running 245/45s? or 275/40s?
