Default Just ordered exhaust!!!!!!

I just ordered my SLP Loudmouth system from american muscle. I finally decided to go with SLP after toying with a few exhaust systems, but no one around here has loudmouths and they sound sick. LET THE WAITING GAME BEGIN[sm=sigh.gif]

Good choice.
I was down to LM2, Borla & Magnaflow. Went with LM2 based on sound and $$. AM shipped it fast.

Did you go with the LM 1 or 2?

Then you weren't looking well enough. I got my Magnapacks for $325 shipped. Also I see alot more people, at least on this board with LMs than Borla or Magnaflow. I do admit, it's harder to find good deals on Borla.

Theresa,

Flowmasters are fine, some people just get upset because they are so common. But, they are common because they sound goood. At least in my opinion. They aren't the best quality though, and the baffles can rust out. SLP, Borla, and Magnaflow are all stainless steel.

Theres nothing wrong with flowmasters, they sound great... its just everyone has them. And unless you are tuning your car to get every bit of hp out of it, you wont notice any performance gain.

But heres my 03 GT with Magnapacks & Bassani o/r X. (some of you have probably seen it)

I had flowmasters on my 95 Mustang. I was just upset by how common they are on Mustangs and I was a little dissapointed they wern't louder. I know they sound different on every car don't get me wrong I've heard flowmasters on mustangs that have sounded great...just my personal experience with them was not a good one. so now offense to those of you that have them just thought i would try something different.... and as far as magnaflows go i did look into them but not as hard as i did into slp But wow 325 thats an awesome price.

If you don't drive your car in wet weather and snow it should last quite awhile. However if your car is a daily driver, and it's driven during winter times or you live by the coast or something, the moisure will eat away at the aluminized steel after awhile. Maybe 2-3 years. For me I wanted to get an exhaust system I could leave on my car forever and not have to worry about replacing it down the road.

wow wick001 your car sounds great. I'm sure it being a cobra dont hurt lol.. theresa your v6 should sound pretty good with flows on it. Won't sound as loud as a v8 probly would but you'll notice a difference. As far as rust I still have my 95 had the exhaust on it 2 years and the exhaust probly has about 30,000 miles on it and its not rusted much but im not sure what factors go into it.
