Default how to get the engine cool on race days

I run in 2 classes at the track. Of course there is not a lot of cool down time between the 2. What is the best way to get everything cool. Is there a better coolant to use that may reduce heat. And is it safe to put bags of ice ontop of the block to cool it down.

well it gets everything to where he wants it, so its worth a shot.

CO2 is cheap and easy to come by also, which is one of the reasons he figured he could use it.

Idk. just my .02
