Default Shorties and LTs

Hey I apologize in advance, I know this has been asked many times before but if someone could kick me an answer..

Building a 5.1L mod stroker. Got a set of ceramic shorties for free and I'm wondering if I should stick with those or try and get longtubes? Would the difference in sound/performance be worth it? Or is it really as dramatic as people say?

Thanks, and sorry again.

stock to stock its a little perfomance difference, but more sound. as far as mods are concerned the l/ts would make a big difference. IMO lts are the only way to go, but if you got a deal on the shorties why not i guess
