OK, the LM 2 is a chambered muffler? That's the sound I want. I get plenty of noise even with the flows, so I know that's the direction I'm headed . My son's 5.0 has stock manifolds/H with a magnaflow catback, it's quieter than my setup. My exhaust noise DOUBLED once I added headers and the SLP catted X. I just have to be careful on the noise, Virginia makes a lot of money on "equipment" violations, I just removed my window tints and tinted license plate covers. I love the quality of SLP, the stuff is like jewelry.

LM2 straight thru, not chambered. As far as what sounds good, everybody has their own opinion. Some love the deep burble of a chambered muffler like MAC or Flowmaster, while other like the straight through muffler design like SLP or Magnaflow, which have quieter idle and cruising sounds but have more bite at WOT. As for me I am getting rid of my Magnaflows and going MAC. So, whatever sounds good is completely subjective. Listen to some cars in your area IMO.

well you said you didnt want raspy so stay away from straight threw type mufflers. ALL of them do it. its only during a certain rpm though. if i was gonna do it again i would get a chambered muffler. i changed out my lm2's for magnapacks just for the hell of it and its the same thing. same sound. the quality of slp is very good though.

lm2 and magnapacks are virtually the same thing. Borla stingers are gonna be deep but a bit louder. Magnapacks for the win!
