Accels are pretty good for the price but I also heard that they are very annoying. I forget who I was talking to about it but you have to measure something everytime you change spark plugs and if you don't do it correctly it will break. MSD's are better, hands down, but the real question is weather they are worth the extra 200 or so bucks. To me, they are.

Did either set really make any difference?

I have always read/heard that the stock ignition systems are already very good...

I fried a stocker, replaced with Accels. I then had 2 of the Accels come apart so I went with MSD's. I doubt they make much difference, although they say you will have a hotter spark.

so basically might as well just wait until you break one and then replace em with aftermarket rather than doing it for a upgrade?

ive always thought the coils are really pricey... but i found accel coils are a decent price right around 200. are they much worse than like the msd's or are you just paying for the name? i have friends with accel parts and they work good. accel doesnt give a solid spark amount for their coil, does it give much less than msd's 40,000 volts?
Unless you want to waste money the Ford COP's are more than adequate. Now you could add a set of GMS boots and inserts for around 100 bucks that will help your output. Usually if you are running excessive PSI in a blown app Ford stuff will do the trick.

True, but I could paint them and put on some pretty boots cheaper. [sm=lildevil.gif]
