paxton or procharger?

paxton or procharger?
Opinions. I am modding out the 99 cobra with a MMR 900 shortblock and upgraded tko 500 (probably over the winter ) however I was told that to get in the neighborhood of 700rwhp I'm looking at 18-20lbs of boost with cams and maybe a P&P. The ATI d-1sc was suggested and the paxton novi-2000 was also suggested as another possibility. What I like about the novi is that it can go up to 27psi as opposed to the d-1sc @23psi should I ever dare. It is also cheaper (a little). Now I know two people personally running prochargers a p-1sc on a 98 GT and a F-1 on a ws6 and they both are very happy, but I know of no one running the paxton. I would like to buy the novi kit (non intercooled for 3700)and slap it on asap perhaps running low boost for the rest of the summer. This winter the block and tranny go in. And when I can get some $$$ together slap in the intercooler for 1500, beef up the rearend and up the boost. Now after sharing my dream with all of you, all I want to know is if the novi-2000rr stacks up well against the d-1sc, or should I spend the extra $$$$ up front and go ATI? thanks for opinions and anyone with experience with either please share your opinions.

RE: paxton or procharger?
for your hi hp goals i would say novi. alot of people switch out their vortechs/prochargers for a novi setup. if you watn to stay procharger i would say get a f1 for that hi of boost. you are gonna be taking the p1 or d1 to and way over max effieciency which will create more heat.

Also, forget both the paxton cooler or the stock ATI one.. neither is going to cut it.
Instead of spending 1500 on a craptastic paxton or including the price in your ATI kit just do a DIY cooler. Your looking at 300-500 bucks, a little work for you, and you have a much better cooler. You can go with a 3 inch inlet/outlet setup instead of the 2.5 crap and also custom order your cooler for the HP level you want.
