Default uped timing

i have the diablo sport predator ont he way but i heard it only bumps timing up 2 ... to 12.... is it worth it to call diablo, pay 120 bucks for a custom tune just to make the timing go up to 14 or does that extra 2 degrees not make too big of a diff?

Depends on what else you want to do. I woulmdt buy the Preditor JUST for the timing. If thats the case then save $250.00 and get a Steeda timing adjuster. But if you have to convert gear changes or mess with the A?f ratio then I would say get it.

no no, i think u misunderstood me... im getting it so that i can screw with the A/F, bump up the timing, and fix my speedo. my question was , the predator only raises the timing up 2 degrees which will make it 12 deg as opposed to stock 10 deg.... diablosport builds a custom tune for you if u pay them 120 bucks.... should i pay that 120 bucks extra to diablosport so that they could send me a custom tune that will bump up my timing to 14 instead of what it does regular which is only bumping it up by 2 deg.... basically is 12 deg timing good enough or is it worth 120 bucks to get an extra 2 deg and make it 14 deg ....

Nah... I wouldnt pay for a chip that I didnt dyno tune for. Know what I mean? Joe had his done and I had the exact same setup NA as he did. I would sent the $120.00 off to Steeda and get a timing adjuster from them... you never know... you may wanna run a shot of NOS one day and once the chip is in and set to 14 degrees then thats it. I kinda wish I had kept my timing adjuster.

2* isnt worth $120 in other words.

but the predator only allows for a 2 deg up in timing which will result in 12 deg... thats why im wondering if i should just call diablo, and ask them to send me over a custom tune. the new tune would be the same as whatever it comes with out of the box, but it will ALSO be able to bump timing up to 14 deg instead of just 12.... thats what the extra 120 would be for...

I dunno... Just get it and set it at 12* and if you're not satisified then buy a timing adjuster later down the road.

dont listen to him with diablo you can save your stock tune and if you ever think about nos than you can take it out but i wouldnt think about spray anyway on the street no one will let you run with it unless they have it too

That 2 degrees makes a big difference.
