Default new motor and transmission question

i'm in the process of building a dohc 4.6.i'm not into transmissions much but i'm getting a race clutch and new transmission soon. my question is does this have to be balanced when installing it? do you have to balance the flywheel? or what about the driveshaft? i tore up once clutch before cuz it wasn't balanced but the thing is all the tranny shops i've called wont install aftermarket clutches. i'm just wondering if i need to take it to a shop to get everything balanced.

You should get a the flywheel balanced. Most like you will have to upgrade to a 8 bolt fly wheel though because of the 4v build. So you will most likely need a new flywheel anyways. Nothing needs to be done with the driveshaft or tranmission.

I don't know about your balance question[:-]but I know that alot of after market companieshave the complete kits that all go together. (flywheel , throwout bearing, pressure plate, clutchfork allignment tool and hardware) I would take your expected hp numbers and go to a company like (centerforce) and talk to their tech line about it.

I hope that helps
