More Belt Problems

RE: More Belt Problems
Did you replace the tensioner when the charger went on? If not then replace it. Once again, what boost are you running? I'm not sure how a novi 1000 is geared but a 3.0 pulley on a procharger is probably going to slip.

RE: More Belt Problems
With my procharger, I'm at a 3.2" pulley, which is the smallest I can go before belt slippage, then I'd need to upgrade to the 8-rib setup. you also might want to check, besides the tensioner and belt length, is the head of the novi itself. When was the last time you checked the bracket bolts on the SC to make sure everything was nice and snug. They could be loose and/or you could be getting too much flex in the head itself causing you problems. I ended up making a an extra brakcet for mine at the top of the head and mounting it to the top of the motor. I can't remember what the novi's look like on, but check those 2 items I mentioned as well.

RE: More Belt Problems
KB also has crank overdrive adapters to go with their 8-rib conversion. That will let you run a larger blower pulley for a given boost level. However, if you do that, you'll need to convert to an electric water pump. It doesent hurt to overdrive the other accessories.... and if you do loose a belt, at least you won't overheat. Anyone running a blower on a 2v motor should have tools and an extra belt in the trunk at all times.
Also, the 8-rib belt won't stretch as much
When I had a 2v setup, that's what I did. It worked great.
