Go for the cobra. Cobras are more then just the engine. Better handling and stopping and more comfortable seats, I can keep going. If not, Kenne Bell the GT

I'm going to talk to the ugy on Wed I'm going to offer him 1700 cash for the supercharger it also comes with a fuel pump, chip and injectors. We'll see how it goes.
I'm sure 400 at the wheels will keep me until at least the next cobras come out and I own 100% of my ride.
It's just upsetting that if I want to go much higher I'd have to rebuild most of the engine internals.

I went through the same dilema. Then I started adding cost and the idea of maintaining a warrenty. I found out that the cobra was the sure winner. I got a 12 second car with a warrenty and for some odd reason just the changes between the cobra gave me a sense of owning a affordable high class car. You get upgraded brakes, suspension, IRS, and so on. The car is very restricted from the factory but is producing around 424 hp at the crank. The car doesn't plow the corners like my GT did. All four tires will break traction at the same time around a corner if you let it and it is very very neutral. As for gas miliage I suffered a 3 mpg lost but in the end it was well worth it.

1990 Volvo- as a driver I feel more connected to the steering than the cobra. Needs more power though.
1991 spirit Rt- goes fast, stops fast but where's the suspension?- this car is faster than my gt was.

I figure even if I spend the $ on the blower n install I can get it back in the blower resale with the low blower price... I might still opt for a cobra later this year

Get the Cobra. Had an 01 Gt and traded it in, there is no comparison. You are going to be in debt your whole life unless you or your parent are rich. Besides if you wait til the 07 come guess what you will be in debt. Sure you will have close to 400 in your GT, but it is not a cobra. Not knocking any GT's but until the 07 come the 03-04 cobra is the best mustang out. You can easily I mean easily produce more than rrhp with minimal cost, and then you can to insane if you want without having to rebuild the motor, plus you get a warrenty. The 03 Cobra will put a smile on your face as you walk to it, not to look at it, but to get in drive it everyday.

s/c your gt. i had a similar choice sort of, and i went with s/c my car. mainly because ive already dumped soo much money into my car, but equally important i couldnt afford the insurance of an 03 cobra, not to mention it would only be a summer/spring car if i ever got one (though most stangs are). so yeah, s/c your gt for now and let that keep you happy for a few years then maybe get the cobra when your loan is paid off.
