Hey, got an 01 GT 4.6 liter. It's only got 30k miles on it.</P>


With all the rain we've been getting in my neck of the woods (SC) lately, I've noticed something with my Stang. </P>


I don't start it every day, but it does leave the driveway at least 5 days a week. So, I don't think it's an issue of sitting too long.</P>


I've noticed that times when we've gotten heavy rains for a period of time, the car doesn't want to start right away. I turn the key and it cranks and then shuts down. If I crank it and manage to give it some gas (around 3500 RPM) a couple of times, it then runs and purrs beautifully.</P>


This starting problem only happens after extended periods of rain. Is this some moisture related problem? Is water getting in some where? I'm not sure, and I was wondering if anyone else had this problem?</P>

If you're under 36K I'd take it to the dealer. My car fires up everytime on the first try in all weather conditions. Does your car sit in any significant standing water when it rains?

I dont see where you should have a problem with that unless you leave the hood open while it rains *lol*</P>
