Drivers side window won't roll down

RE: Drivers side window won't roll down
Yup, whack the crap out of the motor witha rubber mallet or some other blunt object while pushing the button. Works for me. The clicking sound is the regulator/relay acting retarded. First time my window got stuck the guy at the stealership said the window regulator/relay problem is common in new edge stangs. Sometimes if you let the car sit for a while then start it up the window(s) will start working again. Typical Ford design/engineering, its always the stupid little annoying things that break.

My drivers window did the samething, it was the wiring between the door and the body, a bunch of the wires were broken and cracked. They put a new harness in it for me and no problems since.

+1 on the motor but +1 on waiting a day cuz if your car was sitting in the sun it might have just over-heated the motor... it happened to me and that is what my mechanic said cuz i have a black car with black interior so it bakes pretty bad especially if i leave my windows up

If the window motor acts-up once, chances are it will do it again - trust me! Just tapping on the door panel in the vincinity of the motor or waiting the next day in the hopes it will work again is just buying time - it may work for a while, buteventually it will fail.
Replace the motor for ~ $70 bucks and2-3 hours of your time. Here's myquick notes on a window motor replacement:
