How are Pypes? I thought about getting those. Do they have a good sound?

Loud, but not as loud as SLP.
They kind of sound like Flowmasters but with more high end.

To the orignal poster, Magnaflow regular catback (not Magnapacks) is what you want.
They are about +1 on idle and cruising, but open up nicely when you nail it.

They do drone however, at least in my 2003 vert, but NOTHING like Flows.
IOW you can easily hear the radio and have a conversation at normal levels.

Also they take a couple of weeks to break in, believe it or not, and will get a little
different tone when they do.

I have mine hooked up to the stock H-Pipe.

Sounds like a similar setup to the one I have would be perfect. Granted I have the O/R mid pipe (oh come on, I have to have them for inspection too, you just have to make a friend ), but you could replace it with the catted. I've been told many times that my exhaust setup has the best tone for a deep muscle car rumble. The cats would make it a little quieter, and maybe even a little deeper, I think it would sound great.
