with a 3" pulley you should be making alot more boost, at least with my D1SC Im making 15psi.I quess Paxtons justarent effcient. I would check all yourpipes and see if thereare any cracks and check the tightness on your claps, a small hole will bleed off alot of boost.

how much power are you putting down? maybe your gauge is just reading wrong. if you're putting down ~400RWHP with that pulley on the intercooled setup, then your novi1000 is doing just fine.

Just because XXX blower doesn't make XXX boost with XXX pulley size doesn't mean its any less/more efficent than another. The steup ratios on the transmissions of the blowers are simply setup differently, not to mention that things like intercooler, pipping size, inlet pipe to the blower, and the engine setup will all effect boost levels.

I know that it is okay and i beleive i'm hittin about 8 psi through a 12x31x4 intercooler with a lot of piping so the intercooler option you mentioned wont really be necesarry since i already have one.

okay i have no idea how much power i'm making.

here's the deal:
when i went to get my car tuned i had the wrong size belt on the car and therefore experienced belt slip big time. the car made 317 hp and 346 tq, but after 4000 rpms it didnt make anymore power(cuz of the whole belt slip thing. the car at that time didnt make more than 4.5 -5 psi. So my tuner basically estimated how much more power i would make and added fuel accordingly, And told me when i fix it that i should come and get it retuned.( it was also 97 degrees outside when it was tuned) But with the way the market is in South Florida at the moment nobody has any money cuz everyone lost their jobs. So since the car is runnin ok ih havent bothered with gettin retuned. I have hit around 7- 7.5 So its definitely doing better. and i also trapped 88 mph in the eighth mile so i figure between 380 and 400 hp but who knows. It'll beanother couple months before i can get it tuned again. and winter is coming so i need one anyway

But the whole point is thati would like within the course of the next few years to have a built motor and run 12-15 psi thorugh the intercooler and i just dunno if this blower is capable of that and so far i havent found anybody to who was able to do so.

Personally, I would save the cash it would cost to convert to a 2000 now and put it towards something else- be it suspension, rear end, or the forged bottom end fund.

When the time comes for you to turn up the boost, you can switch out the head unit then.

Also, get that sucker returned. It may seem to run right, but you may be leaving a ton of power on the table- not to mention he can smooth out your power band.
