What is an 'Engine Miss'?
As I"ve posted recently, the car is 'chugging' and lurching around 1400-1800 rpms, mostly while crusing, and most significantly in fifth.
But, even in 2nd - 4th when Im accelerating rather light the car lurches right around these RPMS and then continues on.
5th at about 40 mph *or 1600 rpms* is HORRIBLE, i can feel it in the car, on the shifter, enough almost for a real light whiplash motion.
Could it be an engine miss? and what exactly is a 'miss'?

is the exhaust sound normal, or is "missing" with the engine. If the ehaust sounds funny, you have fuel, air,and/or spark delivery problems, if not, its something else.

99gt so this means you have COPS.(coil on plugs)I bet one of your units is bad. Usually when a unit is bad is makesthe car run like poo when it's under severe pressure (like 1600rpms in 5th gear....gotta floor it to get anywhere) or at a steady rpm down low.

clint i have some coils at home from when i fixed mine i had to buy 8 so if you want to try and see if that help just let me know and i will get a couple for you to try

I have a very noticeable 'puff puff poof' like sound coming from the pass. side tailpipe, not from both.
Got more pronounced within the last two weeks or so.
Would a bad coil cause the car to act retarded only at particular rpms?
