The Corsa DB Series Mufflers are direct replacements for your 99-04 Cobras, GT's and Mach-1's.
The Red Series DB style mufflers aimed at those running headers and offroad pipes. The Black Series are meant more for those that have stock manifolds and catted midpipes as they are really, really loud if used on an offroad setup.

I don't have any more sound clips at this time but when Corsa went over the new product with me they recommended the red for offroad setups and black for catted setups which I believe is due to the black being very very loud if used in an offroad setup.
