i have a 99 stang gt convertable w/ mac mufflers, bbk cai, tri ax shifter.... what should i do next idk were to start mustang have such a veriety of part...dang lol i have $450 now whats next????

Definitly gears. Go with 4.10's. Make sure you have someone reputable put them in cause if it's off just by .10" it'll whine like an ex-wife and cause premature wear. [/align]

+1 to both. I personally have 3.73's and think they are great and will be even better when I put more power out of the motor. Never had 4.10's so I can't really say much about them. I know with my 3.73's I'll run about 2.5k at 70mph and can pretty much cruise town at 35mph in 4th gear with no troubles what so ever. Mpg wise I would say I havent seen much of a drop at all from all the slightly higher rpm driving... maybe a couple gallons at most.

Technically, when you say you want more SPEED, you'd want even lower gears. But I think we can all assume that you want to be faster, accelerate quicker, feel more power, etc, not just top end speed, so yes, gears are your best bet. Gears will actually lower your top end speed, but we've all been over it many times and it doesn't lower it much, and you probably couldn't even hit what it lowered it to anyway before your car just couldn't accelerate anymore. So in reality, they don't REALLY lower your top speed, just on paper, but they sure as hell will make you feel like you're in a rocket ship compared to the stock gears.
